The Beam Beanie Pattern
Designed in the midst of busy days and quiet moments, this beanie is our go-to for comfort, simplicity, and that satisfying "quick knit" feeling. It was born from the desire to create something achievable for all ~ especially the mamas who only have small windows to create.
The Beam Beanie is a soft, stretchy rolled-brim hat, knit in the round from the bottom up. No ribbing needed ~ the brim naturally curls as you go. It's the kind of knit you can pick up and finish in an afternoon, making it perfect for gifts, or just slow weekend making.
Its written across nine sizes from newborn to large adult and designed for super bulky yarn (16ply), making it a cosy, instant-gratification knit with endless colour potential.
Needles: 8mm circulars (60cm or longer)- You can purchase our recommended knitting needles here
Yarn: Chunky/Bulky Weight (around 14ply — anything in the chunky range works) - Find our Wool here
Gauge/Tension: 12 stitches and 18 rows = 10cm
Skill Level: Knitted with beginners in mind. If you're new to hats or just looking for something soothing and satisfying to make, this one's for you. A great pattern to return to again and again.
