From the beginning, our vision for SUNDRI was to create things made by hand, with heart — pieces that carry the calm rhythm of slow craft and the beauty of everyday life.
The Bloom Crop was dreamt up as a little sister to our Embrace Vest — a light, easy tank designed to grow with your child through the seasons. Knit it in soft cotton for summer days, or in wool to layer through cooler months.
Worked seamlessly from the bottom up, the Bloom Crop is shaped at the armholes, then split for the front and back. Slip-stitch edges give a neat, minimal finish, and the cropped length keeps it playful and practical for little ones at play.
You’ll need:
- Needles: 6mm circular needles. An 80cm cable works for all sizes using Magic Loop; for smaller sizes, a 40cm feels more comfortable. You can find our recommended needles here .
- Yarn: 8ply–10ply / DK–Worsted weight cotton or wool. Beautiful in our 8ply Wool Collection for cooler seasons, and Peruvian Cotton for breathable summer crops.
- Gauge: 14 sts × 22 rows = 10cm in stockinette stitch (after blocking).
- Skill level: Beginner-friendly — a gentle project for slow afternoons, nap times, or evenings on the couch.
