Mama Crop ~ Course + Kit

The Mama Crop is a really beautiful place to begin  ~ and where most of us fall in love with knitting. A relaxed cotton crop top worked in the round in simple knit stitch, it's designed to be your first real project.

The course walks you through every step in order, building slowly so nothing ever feels rushed or out of reach. By the time you cast off, you won't just have a top ~ you'll have the confidence to keep going.

Find your size

Measure your bust and belly at the widest point and choose the size that matches your largest measurement. If you're between sizes or prefer a more fitted look, size down one.

Designed with approx. 6 cm positive ease. Length is measured from cast-on edge to shoulder, before any extra shoulder rows. Yarn quantities are based on 10 ply / worsted weight cotton at the stated tension ~ allow an extra 50 g if you prefer a longer crop or are between sizes.

Build your kit

These can be added as optional extras ~ so you only get what you actually need:

• 6 mm circular needles (100 cm cable)
• Tapestry needle
• 5–5.5 mm crochet hook (optional ~ for the trim detail)
• Stitch markers

You'll also want scissors, a measuring tape, and a small amount of scrap yarn ~ things most of us already have at home.
